Introducing: Surf Rider Media
2020 was quite a year. A private company launched two Americans into space, the world was introduced to the Tiger King, and of course the global pandemic Covid-19 changed the way we live, interact and do business forever. While it was an eventful year for everyone, 2020 brought many changes both personal and professional to me. In September I was able to get married in front of our immediate family, to my amazing wife Kanani. It wasn’t the wedding we originally planned, but it turned out to be perfect, and we were able to pull it off in a safe and responsible way.
A few weeks later I was laid off from my position at Expedia, and while there was some initial shock, there was comfort in knowing that the next chapter of my life was starting. I spent a few days unplugged, and then immediately started applying for jobs. I soon realized I was not interested in continuing down the career path that laid in front of me, and recognized a change was needed. After some reflection, debate, conversations, and research. I saw that this was the perfect opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream of mine. It was my chance to attempt something I have always hoped I would get to do. I decided to bet on myself, and start my own business.
As a result, I am excited to announce the launch of Surf Rider Media! Surf Rider Media aims to be a resource for small businesses for all their digital advertising needs. Surf Rider Media specializes in Programmatic, Search, and Consulting. We exist to provide businesses who normally would struggle to enter the digital media world, with an easy, affordable way to access it. Many of you have already offered guidance and support, so for that I am grateful. I also look forward to getting the chance to connect and reconnect with the rest of you along this journey.
I am ready for the challenges and change that 2021 will bring us and look forward to putting in the work to see what Surf Rider Media might become. If you or your business is looking to enter, revisit, or revamp your digital strategy, please consider Surf Rider Media.
In Solidarity,
